About

Greetings.  My name is Justin Irving. A mid 20′s Vermonter living in the Philadelphia suburbs.

This blog began as a way to answer the economic sophists in my life, but I have mostly written on monetary policy lately. I went to the University of Vermont for my undergrad and to Uppsala universitet for an Msc thereafter.

Needless to say, the ideas here are either my own or unwittingly plagiarized from the great econ blogers, and don’t necessarily reflect the views of my employer.

Your blog is a great read Justin and am now a follower! I saw you had a link to your Masters thesis (which is not operational anymore) back in 2011 and woud love to give it a read if it is possible.

Thanks Roger. Link fixed, or here http://econsophism.files.wordpress.com/2013/02/justin-irving-uppsats-3-0.pdf

I don’t know if I really back everything I said in there. Cynical, but I wrote it with revisions and my final grade in mind.

Ah, okay Justin! I’m hardly going to be critical, or of the sort. I’m a grad student in Economics myself, so I just fancy being able to relate to other graduate work. And currently I am taking International Finance, so I am finding myself more and more intrigued with topics of monetary policy.
